How much should you exercise per week.

This article began by someone asking us how often they should exercise per week.

How often should I exercise? 2 hours a week, 2 hours a day, what sort of exercise should I do, and does it matter?

They were getting more and more frantic as they thought through their plans, and previous fitness workouts, and schedules, and we could see that it was playing heavily on their mind.

So, we simply responded why not exercise when you feel like it?

They instantly stopped, and began laughing. Can it really be that simple? Yes it can.

We have designed Near You to keep things simple. Have fun, try new things, and always enjoy what you are doing, and if you don't like it, change it.

This is our ethos, have fun, Feelgood.

We feel fitness and exericse should not be a chore. But, rather the opposite. It should be something that you enjoy doing.

Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Martial Arts, Meditation, are all a celebration of life. They reveal the great potential within us, and allow us to express ourselves in unique and wonderful ways.

We do not want to restrict humans on the planet, but open the doors for them.

How can this change the way we exercise?

It means that you no longer have to force your self to go to an exercise class. Instead, you will be picking activities that you look forward to, and enjoy.

On our platform, we give classes that widely complement each other, like dance and yoga, or martial arts, and meditation classes.

Meditation will allow you to stay focused in the boxing ring, and calm under pressure. Yoga will help flexibility and core strength for dance, they are all inter-related.

It is a holistic approach to well-being, all of our classes point to the whole. You.

Why is choice so important?

Choice is important because it allows you to express your self in so many different ways.

Would you limit the amount of colours a painter could use?

No, of course not.

The painter should be able to freely access his tools, to create the painting that he would like to make.

We want to give you the tools with Near You, to make the painting of your choice.

Try new activities, experiment.

We feel that humans are here to grow, and experiment. We encourage you to learn more about yourself.

One day, you could be meditating with Buddhist monks. The next, you could be trying out a Pilates reformer class. After that, you could be learning Mixed Martial Arts, or Krav Maga.

Keep things simple

We began writing this article with a friend who was panicking and stressed. With a few simple tips and advice, she immediately felt relaxed and at peace. 

This is how simple the truth can be. 

Why overcomplicate things? 

The most important lesson that was have learnt through life is to keep things simple.

It made us reflect on how far we have come with Near You, and why we started this platform in the first place.

We wanted to give you more opportunties, and most of all make meditation, dance, yoga, martial arts more accessible to people all over the world. 

We have done extremely well to have created such a unqiue platform, with a great team, customers and the best teachers all around the UK and US. 

A growing project

This is a project that we are continuing to grow with new team members, new features on our app and website, and new fitness activities everyday.
